SAP EHS Occupational health and safety is about the measures and means to protect employees from work-related health and safety hazards. The aim of occupational safety is to limit exposure of employees to only justifiable health hazards or ideally none of its risks at all.
SAP offers a comprehensive solution for SAP EHSM occupational health and safety with its module SAP EHSM Health and Safety Management.

SAP EHSM Incident Management allows to record accidents and process these according to the requirements of the e.g. Employer’s Liability Insurance Association. Furthermore, the SAP EHSM Solution allows to record near-misses as well as safety relevant observations easily and follow those up systematically.
SAP EHS Environmental Management permits to record data on environmentally relevant regulations manually and automatically. This solution also monitors legal compliance and calculates environmental indicators (KPIs).
Legal Cadastre can be maintained to create legal certainty of relevant regulations and laws for the organisation.
SAP EHS Hazardous Substances can be maintained, assessed and released by SAP EHSM. Further an integration to SAP EHS Hazardous Substance Management is available.
SAP document management can store all documents in its respective context, for example SAP EHS Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of a supplier for a chemical with integration to SAP material as well as SAP orders.
Functions for SAP EHS Audits are available. SAP EHSM data, questionnaires, processes, tasks and further SAP data can always be evaluated up to date. Certificates for management systems according to ISO 14001, ISO 5001 and ISO 45001 are supported. A powerful authorisation control is also available.
