Global Trade challenges established and growing companies with requirements to comply with import and export regulations world wide. SAP's Global Trade Services (GTS) helps to adhere to those regulations by performing checks (e.g. embargoes or sanctioned parties), dealing with customs and supporting the risk management.

Import and Export of Chemicals

There are special regulations that need to be taken into account when it comes to global trade of chemicals. E.g. any substance that is being brought to the market in the European Union must be registered with the European Chemical Agency (REACH regulation). In the US, the TSCA regulation needs to be complied with. SAP GTS checks every single material before it can be shipped if it complies with the corresponding regulations as determined from the sales order.

SI PRO GTS-EHS-Adapter

SI PRO supports your data maintenance process with an adapter that transfers licenses being stored at the SAP EH&S Specification Database to the GTS system automatically. As data in the EH&S system is maintained on the substances level, this reduces redundancy. It also provides a single point for all compliance related data maintenance.
